Projects > Coal Gasification

South Sumatra was Indonesia’s center for oil and gas as explored by Royal Dutch 10 decades ago. As oil and gas fields are depleting, the industry is moving towards non-conventional energy source, such as coal gasification.

The Pendopo Coal Gasification project aims to produce synthetic gas (syngas) derived products such as substitute natural gas (SNG), ammonia, DME and other chemical products. The location of the plant is in Pendopo, South Sumatra.

DH Energy will develop the project through synergies with reputed technology owner, off-taker and feedstock supplier as co sponsors with Government's support. Pendopo Energi Batubara will supply feedstock for a guaranteed life cycle of the plant. The Central & Regional Governments may provide support for the project through investment incentives, infrastructure development and possible subsidy for non-conventional energy source.
