Though lignite has lower energy contents than subituminous coal, technology has made lignite utilization possible. DH Energy is developing lignite found in the South Sumatra as a solution in addressing energy crisis as well as environmental challenges.

Our development strategy for lignite is to convert them to clean energy sources through clean mine-mouth power generation projects, coal upgrading projects, coal gasification & liquefaction projects as well as coal bed methane and carbon capture & storage projects in Pendopo, South Sumatra. DH Energy plans to supply clean energy and derivatives such as electricity, clean energy coal, substitute natural gas, chemicals and clean fuels. We believe that the conversion of lignite into clean energy will enhance economic development and people’s welfare.
